基于中红外光的无创血糖测量 Non-invasive measurement of blood glucose by using mid-infrared light

演讲课题:基于中红外光的无创血糖测量 Non-invasive measurement of blood glucose by using mid-infrared light

演讲人:松浦祐次 Yuji Matsuura

演讲摘要:

Mid-infrared spectroscopy systems comprising hollow optical fibers and a multi-reflection prism are developed for blood-glucose measurement. Absorption spectra of lip mucosa revealed clear signatures of glucose and measurement errors less than 20% was obtained. In this talk, some preliminary results of blood glucose measurement using quantum cascade lasers (QCL) is also reported.

Yuji Matsuura has been a professor of Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering, Tohoku University in Japan since 2008. He received BS, MS, and PhD degrees in electronic engineering from Tohoku University, in 1988, 1990, and 1992, respectively. After he spent a year at Tohoku University as a research associate, he joined Sumitomo Electric Industries Co., Ltd. in 1993, where he was engaged in research on silica planar waveguides for optical communications. For two years from 1994, he was a postdoctoral scientist at the Rutgers University in New Jersey working on hollow optical waveguides. Then he had been an associate professor of Department od Electrical Communication Engineering at Tohoku University. His current research interests include application of specialty fiber optics in medical fields, hollow waveguides for ultraviolet and infrared light, optics for soft x-ray and terahertz. He is a member of the SPIE, the Optical Society of Japan, and the Institute of Electronics, Information, and Communication Engineers of Japan.
